Mr. Shen - 2046 AD

Mr. Shen here.

We're going to conquer the universe!

Or at least the solar system.

If you notice, there's no land... just water. Al Gore was right, after all.

2046 - Mr. Hu - New Species

In the future, artificially intelligent pda cell phones are more like pets. Their delicate arthropod mobility allows them to run to us and jump into our hand when we have a call. Or perch on our shoulder, holding themselves up to our ear. They even lead us around when we ask it for directions. Sadly, they are inevitably dumped by their owners for newer models, and left to fend for themselves in the world. Ownerless swarms of cell phones now present a huge vermin problem in major cities. Computer viruses carried in their population eventually lead to the first great digital plague.

All In the Family - Mr. Hu - Nesting

Just a simple visual today.

Mr. Shen - All in the Family

Mr. Shen here.

So this week's topic was All in the Family. I was planning on doing something similar to that of the original television show, but ultimately decided against it.

I suppose the idea here is that I just wanted to show that for this church directory photograph, everyone can tell that the wife had an affair and thus an apple child popped out.

It's similar to a Perry Bible Fellowship comic strip.

Below is the original image.

Mr. Shen - Activity Pages

Mr. Shen here.

I would like to compile these into a book.

Some missing pages, which I haven't uploaded just yet, include "Sally's Visit to Planned Parenthood Word Search" and "Find Jesus".

activity page - mr. cheung - riddles

Let’s play guessing games. The riddle section was always the least interesting part of Sunday Comics but I always kept reading them when I was little. I guess this is my attempt to make graphic design-y riddles.

In hindsight, wish I made them a little more interactive, like, left more visual clues, etc…

Mr. Shen - Business as Usual

Mr. Shen here.

So, here are the three business cards that I designed. I wanted to pretend that the particular housing company would make business cards that look the same... but different.

Jerry would get a card too, but he'll be so rich that he can permanently hire someone to hold a sign that has his information on it.

Business As Usual - Mr. Hu - A Prophecy

This is Jerry's card. It is printed on a tongue depressor.

Alex's with a front and a back.
Bruce's card is intended to be a piece of architecture in itself. It must be folded into its configuration. I admit that this is highly impractical on many levels.
This graphic identity is to be printed on a Styrofoam cup. Run of one.

Blossom - Mr. Hu - Poop by any other name...

This is a rather poor drawing of a rose. Rendered in charcoal. Note the highschool-AP-art-like qualities.
